Auxiliary equipment for packaging lines

Universal feed conveyor

A universal feed conveyor is an auxiliary unit in a packaging or filling line for organised transfer of product to a dosing unit or other process equipment. The configuration is agreed around product properties, loading and discharge points, conveying direction and the geometry of the main line.

  • Feeding product to a dosing or process unit
  • Matched to loading and discharge points
  • Configured for the product and line layout

Feeding product to the main equipment

The conveyor is used where product needs to be transferred from a loading point to a dosing, filling or other process unit. Selection starts with the actual layout of the section and the properties of the product to be conveyed rather than with a universal conveyor size.

  • the product to be fed and the properties relevant to conveying;
  • the dosing or process unit that receives the product;
  • the positions of the product loading and discharge points.

Matching the packaging-line geometry

Conveyor integration requires the heights, conveying direction, available space and the position of adjacent equipment to be checked together. Required feed rate and other operating parameters are treated as requirements of the specific line and confirmed during technical selection.

  • heights and direction between feed points;
  • position of the main and adjacent equipment;
  • required feed rate and other parameters of the specific process.
