Packing bags are ready-made flexible packaging for portioning, individual products and secondary packing. Polyethylene or polypropylene is selected to suit the contents and bag construction. Loose bags in a stack and perforated bags on a roll are different dispensing formats; a packing bag does not have to be supplied on a roll.

Stacked or on a tear-off roll

Flat bags are taken individually from a stack. On a tear-off roll, adjoining bags are separated along a perforation line. The dispensing format is selected together with the material, bag size and workstation arrangement.

Material and use

Polyethylene and polypropylene bags differ in stiffness, clarity and sealing behaviour. The material is selected for the contents, desired presentation and closing method.

Questions before ordering

Is a tear-off roll the same as roll film?

No. A tear-off roll contains finished bags joined by perforation. Roll film still needs to be formed into packaging.
