Printed film is rollstock with a repeating design used to make packaging. A packaging machine unwinds the web, forms a pack, fills it with a product and closes it. Bottle labels are a separate application of printed film.

From printed roll to finished packaging

Repeating print panels form the future front and back of each pack. Equipment forms individual packs from the web and closes them after filling. Bottle labels require a separately agreed web format, material and application method.

Printing and multilayer solutions

Flexographic printing combines the protective function of packaging with branded presentation. When a product needs a more complex structure, the construction can include lamination of several layers.

How does the roll become a finished bag?

The film is unwound and fed into the packing line. The equipment forms the bag, fills it and seals the seams. Web width and print repeat are matched to the bag dimensions and the specific line.

Why match artwork to seams and print repeat?

The design repeats along the web for each bag. Artwork preparation accounts for the seam positions and what will be visible on the front and back of the finished pack. If artwork is not ready, share a product description, preferred style or sample.
