Flexible packaging and packaging equipment production

MASTER-PACK’s production activities combine flexible packaging, flexographic printing, lamination and its own packaging/filling equipment models.

  • Flexible packaging
  • Flexographic printing and lamination
  • Packaging and filling equipment
Production equipment for printing packaging materials

Flexible packaging

Bag or film parameters are determined by the product, filling method, printing requirements and the customer’s equipment. Thickness, order quantity, lead time and other numerical parameters are confirmed for each specific order.

  • material selected for the product;
  • construction and format agreed for the application;
  • parameters aligned with the filling method and equipment.

Flexographic printing and lamination

Flexographic printing and lamination are MASTER-PACK production capabilities. Detailed process capabilities and specific material structures are confirmed after the application has been described.

  • printing from approved artwork;
  • lamination for agreed material structures;
  • solution selected for the required finished-packaging properties.

Packaging and filling equipment

The catalogue includes automatic and semi-automatic MPPFO models, auxiliary conveyors, an accumulation table and sealing equipment. Current configuration, options and availability of a specific model are confirmed before ordering.

  • automatic and semi-automatic solutions;
  • auxiliary equipment for packaging lines;
  • sealing and related operations.

How polyethylene film is produced

Archived MASTER-PACK production materials describe polyethylene film manufacture by blown-film extrusion with upward bubble take-off. Formulation and process parameters depend on the required material properties.

  • preparation of the raw-material blend and additives;
  • melting in the extruder and formation of the film bubble;
  • cooling, corona treatment when required, trimming and winding.

How flexographic printing is prepared

Flexography uses flexible printing plates and is suitable for printing on film and paper packaging materials. Preparing artwork specifically for the printing equipment is an important part of the process.

  • design approval and prepress preparation;
  • printing-plate production and press setup;
  • printing and subsequent material processing according to the packaging construction.

Why lamination is used

Lamination combines two or more materials into one structure. This allows the properties of different layers to be combined, while printing can be positioned between layers and protected from external exposure when the structure is designed accordingly.

  • combining materials for the requirements of a specific product;
  • protecting printed graphics within a multilayer structure;
  • subsequent slitting or conversion into finished packaging.
